The Revolution Will Not Be Televised…But It May Be Online!

Posted by: babu In: News| Videos

Detroit musical innovators Underground Resistance have been around for a long time now, but many questions stand concerning the label, the motivation, the music and perhaps most of all, the “mysterious” label founder, Mad Mike Banks, who along with co-founder Jeff Mills paved the way for dozens while continuing to break new ground on a scale unmatched by their peers. Current TV has managed to profile the “current” UR and the innovative crew that continues to construct the future!

This is a most excellent documentary. This is the history that kids nowadays need to know.

I love Mad Mike Banks’ position on the music being greater than him. I think the number one thing that artists need to learn is modesty before anything. If you are fortunate enough to have a talent that people are willing to buy/barter/trade for, then you need to understand you are just a vessel to make the creation. It is only then you are truly reap the benefits of genius.
