Local turntable prodigy DJ Konspiracy will provide some high quality techno / electro music at this in-store signing party for Paul Sizer’s new graphic novel B.P.M. (check it out!), followed by the (in)famous monthly Green Brain Comics Jam night. Let’s get loud at Green Brain Comics (Metro Times Best Comic Book Store 2006 - 2008)!
DJ Konspiracy
Hailing from Detroit’s southwest, Konspiracy had been DJing for years as a teen, honing his skills playing every place he could get into! While a kid in terms of “the scene”, he had a profound interest in “old school” music, causing listeners to think he was twice his age before seeing him face to face. Musically open minded, in high school he began exploring the sounds of avant garde pioneers such as Frank Zappa, Sun Ra, and Isao Tomita, eventually creating a home studio made up of “thowaway” technology which he then used to create his own sound. While working on his sound he caught the attention of techno legends Underground Resistance who had him DJ with the Interstellar Fugitives in Holland and Norway. Today DJ Konspiracy continues to conspire to play and make music that loosens the hips as well as the minds of listeners!!
