One of Detroit’s underground hip-hop veterans, iLLiTe has given us the gift of rhyme for over 15 years. If you haven’t heard iLLiTe yet, check out his video for “Burn,” directed by Gerard Victor Atillo and shot right outside of Alter Ego Management’s building in Detroit. “Burn” can be found on iLLiTe’s “Champion Mixtape,” which is hosted by the infamous Nick Speed and features beats by Zhao Ski.
The outlook for iLLiTE is bright and just last October, he was declared NEXT by BE Magazine. iLLiTe is currently working on his next album slated for release in 2010 by his label, Kic Sounds. Can’t wait till then? Stream the “Champion Mixtape” and check back here for more updates!
