In case you missed it, DJ Rhenalt just released a video for “TRUE B-BOYZ.” This track pays tribute to the b-boy culture of early hip-hop. It was an era when rivals battled for bragging rights and dance supremacy while listening to artists like Afrika Bambatta, Juan Atkins, and Kraftwerk. It was kind of like an early version of “America’s Best Dance Crew,” except that there were no cameras and Mario Lopez was nowhere to be found.
The video coincides with the release of DJ Rhenalt’s “True B-Boyz EP” in March 2010 from Germany’s HouzeSlave Records. Listen to the E.P. on Soundcloud, download it on Beatport, but whatever you do, don’t miss this track!
