Endings and Beginnings with The Regiment

Posted by: cornelius In: Events| Music| News

The Regiment marches into Detroit’s TV Bar for the release party for their latest CD, “A New Beginning” this Tuesday night! Joined by Chief, Finale, and Journalist 103, the night also features a beat battle with Nick Speed and Apollo Brown! But wait, there’s more! DJ Dez and

K-Fresh will be keeping the tables on fire as usual, so you KNOW this is going to be hot! The two have been doing the Stoopid Fresh parties on the regular for awhile now, but this marks the FINAL edition of the weekly event! Don’t panic, it’s cool, Stoopid Fresh is going to return, just as a monthly.

“A New Beginning” is just that, a CD that brings back the old school vibe that made us love hip hop, while fully recognizing that the world is a different place, with different sounds and circumstances. With musical negativity running rampant, there’s a need for positivity to move to the forefront of hip hop and beyond. For the duo of OSI and Iseqold, it’s more than a message, it’s a mission! Joined by Big Tone, Buff 1, Miz Korona, and Nina Black, “A New Beginning” will available to buy at the event, with a street date of Cinco de Mayo (that’s May 5 for all you stay at home types!). And as you purchase a copy, make sure to ask about the upcoming video shoot for “Old School Vibe”, the first single from the album!

Hip hop, dancing, DJs, beat battles, emcees, CDs, and a music video. Yes, these Stoopid Fresh guys know how to go out with a bang! See you there!

I was at this show, it was rammed and it was a good time, especially watching Nick Speed battle it out…He’s got beats, the both of them.

About

Alter Ego Management and Booking was formed to serve both the artists represented and the fans of those artists. Founded in Detroit, there was a commitment to seeing the success of clients in a city that, while loaded with talent, lacked the supporting industries to benefit from that talent. Today Alter Ego boasts a international lineup consisting of not only established talent, but up and coming artists as well.
